Moment of Faith and Loaves of Love

by Editor

What is the “new thing” that you have perceived God doing?

He is sending new people through our doors, and they are coming each Sunday.  We’ve also been doing a once a month “Moment of Faith.”

How are you cooperating with God in this activity?  How can other Christians and congregations help?

We welcome them with a loaf of bread and a welcoming message, inviting them to participate in fellowship following worship.  For Moment of Faith, people share their faith story.

From where did this “new thing” spring forth?  What need is God acting to meet through this activity?

Evangelism Committee’s purpose is to share the Good News with others.  The Moment of Faith seems to be an inspiration to others to participate, thanks to the work of the Holy Spirit.

What can you share to help others meeting this need?

Ask talented people who are bakers to participate; keep loaves in the freezer at church to have them immediately
available; members spot visitors, report to committee.  Some folks humorously say them came back for another loaf of bread.  We call them “Loaves of Love.”

What have you learned through this activity?  Is there anything that you would do differently knowing what you know now?

Be open to suggestions to make the process work more efficiently.
